10 Reasons to Fall in Love With Fall

Fall is easily the nicest time of the year. The colors, the holidays, the changes, it's all so magical to me. I think one of the main reasons that I love Fall is that every year, without fail, it's the same. It's the most consistent season.Every season has its upside; however, autumn has a particular beauty to it, namely the unique ability to turn the world into one big canvas with nature’s paint brush. Here are the 10 reasons Fall is my favorite, who knows, maybe you will fall in love with Fall too.

1. Warm Colors and Falling Leaves

Fall colors are simply stunning. Watching as they float down around our heads causes a great deal of nostalgia, seeing as how we all used to jump into the piles as children... Okay, so I still do that. You are never too old to have a little fun, right?

2. Football Season

With Fall comes football and if you live anywhere in the South you will know that this is not just a sport, it is a lifelong commitment. "Saturday, Saturday, Saturday"... bring out the grills, put down the tailgates, and be ready to cheer. (WOO PIG SOOIE)

3. Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING

It is not uncommon to add pumpkin spice to all the things you can in the Fall: drinks, candles, muffins, fudge (only the best thing you'll ever eat.) As you all should know, and if you don't you can thank me later, Starbucks has released their annual Pumpkin Spice Latte, calling all the basics, myself included.

4. Fashion Flourishes

The best time for fashion is in autumn, no doubt about it. Leggings, cardigans, over sized sweaters, flannels, hoodies, riding boots, Uggs, scarves, beanies, fuzzy socks... shall I go on?

5. Hot Cocoa

Hot chocolate gets its own bullet because it goes hand in hand with one of my dearest childhood memories. As a child I was always outdoors, naturally no matter how cold it was I always wanted to be out there, especially in the fall. Given that the air was crisp, mom would call my name to come inside and always had a nice cup of hot chocolate with the little marshmallows waiting for me when I ran through the door.

6. Giving Thanks

Autumn holds one of the greatest holidays, Thanksgiving. What better way to spend an evening than surrounded by the people you love most? Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, not just for the pies, but it reminds us to always to always be thankful for what we have.

7. Star Gazing

This is an activity that not everyone has the luxury of doing, especially in big cities. But fall weather is the perfect weather to be outdoors all hours of the day. Nothing beats laying on a blanket and counting the stars that shoot across the sky... even if later someone lets you know that you didn't actually get lucky and see 400, it was only a meteor shower. This might seem silly, but no matter where you are, everyone sees the same sky even from miles away.

8. Bonfires

Fall tradition where friends and marshmallows get roasted all at the same time, wouldn't trade it for the world.

9. Halloween and Haunted Houses

With Halloween comes pumpkin carving, hay rides, creepy costumes, and haunted houses... all wonderful things. Every year the costumes get better, or worse, and the haunted houses get more realistic... especially with all the clowns hiding in the woods nowadays.

10. Fall Break

Lastly, Fall kicks off the beginning of the many vacations we get throughout the last part of the year. Need I say more?
