Feeling Alone?

So I started a journal last year for my boyfriend at the time; just writing notes, prayers, ideas, memories, or whatever else I felt like writing down. I made pages for different moods and feelings that included scriptures to turn to and a prayer. After the break-up I saved those pages, because really it was nice to have around for myself. So I have decided to begin sharing those pages. The first one is for the days you feel alone in the world and need a reminder from God.

Scriptures:

Isaiah 41:10

Psalm 23:4

Hebrew 13:5

Deuteronomy 31:6

1 Samuel 12:22

1 Peter 5:7

Psalm 91:15

Isaiah 43:1-5

Matthew 28:20

John 14:18

2 Timothy 4:16-17

Psalm 46:1

Psalm 18:6

Prayer:

Dear God, help me to feel your presence. My heart aches, I feel so alone. I miss a meaningful human touch, someone to take my hand or give me a hug. I long for someone to tell me everything will be alright. Please send your comforter to me and take this loneliness away. Better yet, let me hear your voice again. I need to be reminded of your presence and your glory, Lord. Help me, instead of feeling empty, to feel full of the love you have for me. Help me to know you in my heart and remember that, according to your word, I am never alone because you are always with me.

-Amen

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
