Psalm 3
Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”
But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
I call out to the Lord,
and He answers me from His holy mountain.
I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
I will not fear though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.
Arise, Lord!
Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.
From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.
As I opened my Bible today to do my daily devotion, I felt the urge to reread the book of Psalms, and when I came across this chapter, I was humbly reminded about who God is.
I think the best moments in life are when God blatantly shows His children what they need to hear/see.
Even when I know that I have turned away from God more times than I can recall, I am reminded of His constant provisions and everlasting love.
Because God is for me, never against me.
He is my shield, even when I am undeserving of His grace.
This chapter was certainly a reminder I needed this week, and I hope that you may find thankfulness and humbleness in this passage of scripture as much as I did.
