Cons

1. A Bros Gotta Be A Bro

This is by far my hardest struggle in my current relationship. Your boyfriend is in a brotherhood and you need to understand that. His brothers are legitimately his brothers, and his brothers for life. For the most part these guys would do anything for each other and you have to respect that. Sometimes you’re going to want him all to yourself, but just like you’re his priority, so are his brothers.

2. Socials and Sorority Girls

Fraternities and Sororities pair up for many events during the school year, such as homecoming, Greek week, and even the Riley Dance Marathon. Now most of us girls are not thrilled at the fact our boyfriend will be headed to have a good time with girls that aren’t us, but that is reality. He will most always be around the opposite sex doing things for the benefit of his frat. And for the girls who aren’t in a sorority dating a frat boy, much like myself, you will get even more frustrated when you aren’t even aloud to be at those events, but just remember, you’re the one he comes home to.

3. Parties, Parties, and more Parties

If your significant other is anything like mine, he most likely lives with a decent amount of his brothers, or in his fraternity house, that is if your university provides you with the joy of having a Frat Row. It takes a little bit of getting used to if you aren’t necessarily the “party type” of girl. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good party, but parties every weekend can get a little exhausting at times. Another problem that comes with all the partying is all the drinking. In the fraternity world, drinking is a competitive sport. Who can get drunk the fastest? You aren’t drinking… really man? Not speaking for all fraternities, but most, put drinking at top priority when parties roll around. Be ready to expect being the DD some nights, and taking care of your blacked out boyfriend.

Pros

1. Your Boyfriend is Beating the Odds

We all know that fraternities carry somewhat of a bad reputation. We see in movies and even in real life that guys in frats are the ones who get with millions of girls, party all night long, and having a relationship is the last thing on their list. Lucky for us, our boyfriends do not fall under that stereotype. Dating someone in a fraternity shows that some guys are actually different, who would have thought?

2. You Will Always Have Plans

Although I said earlier that with dating someone in a fraternity comes parties, but sometimes that is just what you need. If you and your man ever can’t find plans, he can call just about anyone and find them. Whether that is a party at the house, his house, or his friends, there is always something going on and his life, things will never get boring.

3. Grades and Values

Being in a fraternity and staying in the chapter requires good grades, with out them, out they go. The last thing your man wants is to get kick out of his beloved fraternity, so we always know that his grades matter to him. They have to keep them up and do well in school to keep the things they love in their life, including us. Also being in a fraternity means carrying a set of values. Not only are they in a brotherhood were they look out and care for one another, but every fraternity has a philanthropy to raise money for a certain cause. It’s not only about parties and girls in the frat house.

4. The Dress Code

I mean come on what is better than bow ties and button ups? Enough said.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
