Pros and Cons of Having a "Baby Face"

I’ve definitely struggled with having a “baby face” my whole life. I have always hated my chubby cheeks and innocent smile. After thinking about it more, I have come up with a list of pros and cons and a final thought about having the dreaded, or maybe not so dreaded baby face. Let’s start with the cons…

Cons…

1. People will always think you are at least three years younger than you actually are

No. I promise I'm 19, not 15.

2. You will always be 'cute' no matter how old you are

You thinkIt you will bypass this at some point in your life, right? Yeah, not gonna happen.

3. Your cheeks will always be brought up when discussing your adorable appearance

Yes, I have chubby cheeks. No, you may not pinch them.

4. No amount of makeup or facial exercises will work, at all

Do as much contouring and make all the fish face you want. Nothing will help, trust me.

5. You are usually looked at as naive and inexperienced

Just because I look young doesn't mean I haven't lived at all.

Pros...

1. People will always tell you how cute you are

Yes, I know I said this was a con. But at least you're cute and not ugly, right?

2. You can get away with a lot more

With that sweet, innocent face, you can never do anything wrong. Or so they think.

3. You will age gracefully

It stinks to look so young when you're young. But someday you will thank your God given genes for blessing you with the gift of a youthful appearance.

4. Relatives will love on you more

If you look younger, you will most likely receive more hugs and kisses (and money) from grandma.

5. You can get away with more sass

Since you appear to be sweeter, you can actually be sassier to balance out the ratio.

Final thought...

1. Embrace yourself and your appearance

There's no other person to act or look like than you. That is truer than true.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
