Whenever people find out that I am a twin, the next thing out of their mouth is usually a very excited question of “What's it like being a twin?" And even though I know a lot of people at the moment aren't thinking about what the question actually means, I still find it pretty hilarious. Another one I love is "Do you like being a twin?" as if I know what my life would be like if I wasn't a twin.

This isn't to make anyone feel bad if they've ever asked a twin any of these types of questions, but I thought it would be interesting to go through the good and bad parts of being a twin that people would want to know if it was possible to choose to become a twin later on in life.

This is for you "I wish I was a twin" guys.

Pros

1. You have a built-in friend that has to do everything with you. No matter where you go, you have the assurance of knowing at least one other person.

2. MATCHING OUTFITS! Not much more needs to be said about this.

3. There's someone who knows you better than you know yourself and will always understand you, regardless of the situation. There's also someone to get in trouble with, so you're never alone!

Cons

1. Especially as you get older, people find it hard to separate you from your twin. They forget that even though you may look alike or you're always together, you're still two different individuals with different personalities.

2. When you get gifts, it's usually the same thing in different colors, which is fine for a few years but gets annoying when you're older and you and your twin no longer like the same things.

3. Honestly, sometimes you get tired of always having your twin with you, having the same friends because you're always together, and hanging out in the same places, BECAUSE YOU'RE ALWAYS TOGETHER. I think you can see the trend here. Being together all the time can be exhausting.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
