Marriage: a beautiful commitment made by two people who love each other. Growing up, the ideas of who you’ll marry and what your wedding will be like flutter through your mind.

As you get older, it becomes more and more relevant. Your siblings and cousins are getting married and finding their “one”, but you're still here waiting. Then the day happens; you meet the one person you know you’ll spend the rest of your life with.

Then everything clicks.

I promise to be patient and to be kind. There will be times when we fight and times when we disagree, but I will stay patient.

There will be times when we feel lost and otherwise confused, but I will stay kind. No matter what life throws at us, I will be here to have your back and I know you’ll have mine.

Together, we can conquer anything.

I promise to give you space and time. A young love can move quickly, sometimes even faster than expected. I will give you the time to think and process because I know that’s what you need.

Being together doesn’t always mean being in the same room. I will give you the space you need to be your own person. Together, we will have two lives mend into one.

I promise to love your family as my own, and I promise my family will love you like their own. Our families are a precious thing; they raised us, taught us, and showed us the way.

I will always be understanding, compassionate, and thankful for the man they brought into this world. You. I know you will always be open, honest, and respectful of my family. Together, our two families will come together as one.

I promise to love you. No matter what day, month, or year, I will love you unconditionally. I will be here to hold your hand and walk with you through life. I know that you will carry me through whatever endeavors I endure.

Together, we will make one amazing team.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
