5 Promises To My Littles

Dear littles,

Although you may not know who I am, I know who you are! And the first thing I have to go ahead and say, is that 2 are better than 1! Surprise you’re a TWIN!

I can’t wait to officially have you as mine! I am looking forward to see what all you can accomplish this year because I know you two carry such special and unique qualities. You made me fall in love with you from day one, and I couldn’t image two more perfect additions to add to my BIG fam. Although you may not know who I am yet, I wanted to go ahead and make a couple promises to you.

1. I will always be there for you.

Times may get tough, and school may be hard, but I can promise you that I will always have your back. No matter the situation, I will always be there for you.

2. I will love you equally.

There may be two of you, but that’s only because I couldn’t go through life without you both! You are so special to me and carry so many different personality traits, that I couldn’t just choose one. With that being said, I promise to love and treat you equally.

3. I will always support you.

Whether it’s a sport, participating in an event, or just making a really tough decision in life, I will always have your back. I know that you both are smart girls and have a good sense of character. Although, I may not agree with you, I will always have your back

4. I promise to always be open-minded.

We may butt heads at time, but I promise you that nothing will get in the way of our relationship. I will always hear you out; I’ll be slow to speak and slow to listen. I want you to feel comfortable coming to me with anything

5. I promise to be the best Big that I can possibly be.

I hope to be your best friend, role model, and biggest support system all wrapped up in one, loving package. I will strive to fulfill all these promises and to never let you down.

With all of this being said, I CAN NOT WAIT for you to be mine! I hope these promises show you how excited and ready I am to be your big. I’ve been waiting for this moment to happen all year, and now it finally is! Happy Big/Little week little ones! I love you more than you know!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
