I'll be the first to admit, sometimes I'm not the easiest person to be around.

Sometimes I get sad, overly excited, hangry, or just plain annoying, but you manage to deal with me anyways.

You and only you have the ability to make me laugh until I cry from the most normal everyday things, and whenever we're together, you can expect craziness and lots of laughs, because that's just who we are. We're that group of friends that is so obnoxious inside a restaurant that we have to go outside before we get kicked outside. You're that person that'll run and hide behind a tree when you see someone you don't like, and I'll run with you. You're the people I can count on to see past the "I'm OK" when I know I'm not.

Not everyone can say they have a person (let alone a group of people) they just click with, but I'm lucky enough to be able to say that I do. I've had the same group of close friends for a long time, but there's no need to find anyone else, because we're always there for each other, no matter what. In high school you can come into contact with a lot of fake people, who move through your life quickly, but you are the ones I can always count on to be there. To help me with my homework, to watch scary movies with on Halloween, to talk about boys, give advice to, laugh together and cry together. If any of us need anything, you can guarantee that as soon as you put it up on the group text, someone will be ready to help with whatever problems we're having that day. Because when one of us isn't doing well, all we want to do is help each other feel better.

Here's what I can promise you: I promise to always be there for you, whatever that means at the time. If it means listening to you tell the same story about a problem you're having over and over again, if it means helping you with your homework, even if it means crying with you on the phone.

I promise to be honest with you. Painfully honest. I will never step back and keep my mouth shut because I'm afraid of offending you (because we're too close for that anyway) when there's a chance you'll get hurt otherwise. (But never say I told you so if you choose not to take that advice.)

I can promise to never tell anyone about that one time you did that one stupid thing. (See, you're thinking about it right now aren't you?) Because I won't judge you, everyone does stupid stuff. I promise to always steal all of your food (especially if it's chocolate, or ice cream, or Nutella).

I promise to fight with you, then make up with you as fast as possible. I promise that I won't just sit back and watch when you're in a bad place. Most of all, I promise I will always love you unconditionally. (Because we're going to need someone to visit when we're all old, crazy cat ladies!)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
