5 Products For You, The Organized Planner, To Get Your Planning Started

In This Article:

I have an unhealthy obsession with all things organization and my one true love is my planner. I do not go anywhere without my planner because I would go crazy without out. Over the years I have developed an utmost sophisticated way of decorating my planner to make sure I never forget anything, even if it something as silly remembering to give my dogs their medicine once a month.

This addiction to planners has helped me discover some great products that help ensure I have fun while planning out my busy schedule and I am eager to share some of these with you!

High-Quality Pens, Preferably In Lots of Colors

This is your first essential, besides a planner of course! Having quality pens that will not bleed through your pages and you can use to color code school, work, and different appointments will help you be able to quickly glance through your planner and see what is coming up within the week.

Magnetic Page Markers

Trust me, they are not as expensive as you think and they are so helpful! Magnetic bookmarks will allow you to quickly flip to your week marked as well as any other important note pages in your planner. These also normally come in packs of at least two or three, which means you will have additional markers to use for your notes or your favorite bedtime story.

Stickers

I know this one seems silly, but it is probably my favorite and one of the more useful products you can get. You can purchase organization stickers for things like "study," "dentist bookmarks or "test time." But you could also get cute little stickers of cacti or popcorn to put next to super important times because you will be more likely to remember an event if you have something fun taking note of it.

Sticky Notes

No matter how big or small, sticky notes are trusted by us all. We are all guilty of perfectly planning out our week… and then realizing we forget to add in a last minute study cram session. Don't fret! You don't have to white out your entire week! Instead, find some cute little sticky notes and stick it on top of the day you forgot to plan on. You are guaranteed to remember because it's popping out at you and you won't have to redo your perfectly done schedule.

Washi Tape

I know, I know, we are getting organized, not making a scrapbook, but hear me out. Finals are coming, there is an important meeting, or your bookmarks know you'll have a hectic week coming up - there is nothing better than something bright and cute to help take a little stress out of your days. Washi tape will help you decorate your planner and using it right will give you a reminder that a specific day or week is important by allowing it to stand out even more.

No matter what your planning style is there are just some products you cannot go without and these are for sure my top five. Have other suggestions for being super organized? Share them!!! Everyone is always looking for ways to optimize their organization and get creative at the same time.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
