If you're out here pretending like you know how to do makeup, like me, this list of products will be perfect for you. I normally am a huge fan of drugstore and medium price range products and I'm definitely not a brand snob. As long as it gets the job done and I don't mess up while applying the product, I'm happy. Here are my top 11 favorite makeup products I use regularly.

1. e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit

This thing is literally only $3 and it works as well as any of the expensive products out there right now.

2. NYX Stay Matte Not Flat Foundation

I use this as more of a concealer and I carve out my brows with this product.

3. Benefit POREfessional Matte Primer

I have a love hate relationship with primer, I honestly can't tell if it's doing anything and I hate the feeling when I first put it on my face but I gotta pretend like I know what I'm doing so I'm gonna keep buying it.

4. L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

This stuff is amazing, it keeps my face looking matte all day and it's medium to full coverage which is exactly what I need.

5. L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder

This powder is my fave, it makes sure I don't look all shiny and sweaty and it's perfect for touch ups.

6. Morphe 35OS and 35OM Eye Shadow Palettes

Zoe Johnson

These are my go to eye shadow palettes, hands down. The colors blend so well and are so creamy, they're all neutral-ish and the palettes themselves are pretty cheap. Sign me up!

7. Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer

I use this as contour and bronzer because I don't really know what I'm doing and it seems to get the job done! Someday I hope to be able to contour as well as Kim Kardashian.

8. Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit

This is probably one of my favorite makeup items I own. It's amazing for my pale skin tone and I got it on sale on Black Friday so I'm gonna be really sad when she runs out.

9. It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (Black)

I feel like all mascara really does the same thing no matter the brand but I got this one as a sample and I'm in love ugh.

10. Kiss Lashes (Shy)

This summer I told myself I was going to figure out how to put on fake eyelashes and I can now say I can kind of do it as long as I have an extra 45 minutes. Until I've got the process down, here's to hoping I have a friend nearby to help.

11. ULTA Matte Makeup Setting Spray

Ava Silverman

I'm not trying to spend a ton of money on setting spray (mostly because I can't tell if it actually helps) so I'm really glad I've found the ULTA brand setting spray.

Here's to pretending I'm good at makeup, either way, I'm going to keep buying more. I've recently had to get a second make up case to house all my products (oops). Makeup is such a fun way to express yourself and your creativity and you can literally create looks for everything. My next makeup related task is learning how to conquer liquid eyeliner, yikes.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
