I Can’t Afford Luxury Skincare Products, So For All My Broke Bitches Out There, Head to Amazon For These Go-To Products

In This Article:

I know it's not just me who walks into Sephora a little scared when I'm looking for a skincare product that's definitely going to work but isn't going to force me to sell everything I own just to pay for it. I'm sorry but I am not about to pay $65 for an eye cream. If I'm being honest, I have $20 dollars in my wallet right now. So, Sephora and Ulta are kind of out of the running for where I can spend my money on skincare products.

What I've realized over the past few years of suffering by forcing myself to pay large amounts to treat my skin is that drugstore makeup legitimately works the same as high-end makeup and is affordable af! So if you're a broke bitch like I am, check out this list of Amazon skincare products that will leave your wallet a little less empty and your skin a little more healthy!

1. Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream ($9.74)

Buy it on Amazon.

Nothing works better to moisturize your skin than this $10 cream.

2. Bioré Charcoal Acne Cleanser ($5.69)

Buy it on Amazon.

If you want to be a baller on a budget, you can use this trendy facewash for under $10.

3. Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser ($9.79)

Buy it on Amazon.

You are going to feel refreshed as hell, especially knowing that you didn't have to sell your house to afford it.

4. Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Lotion ($15.74)

Buy it on Amazon.

You can still get fancy products like this fluid lotion and you don't have to spend your life's earnings on it.

5. Olay Regenerist Whip With Sunscreen SPF 25 Moisturizer ($23.71)

Buy it on Amazon.

Again: fancy products + SPF + small amount of money = happiness

6. Chapstick Total Hydration, Pink Nude ($4.48)

Buy it on Amazon.

Finally, treat your lips to total hydration for five bucks!

So, next time you are considering spending all of your money on a skincare treatment, you should remember you could literally buy these products from Amazon for less than many products at Sephora and Ulta. Amazon all the way!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
