Why do something today when you can do it tomorrow? This is a question I ask myself often. I am one of the biggest procrastinators ever! I had a 12 page paper due this week and I started it the day before. It usually works out well for me, but other people become frustrated and freak out. I work really well under pressure and I usually get pretty good grades. Sometimes, it is really difficult to stay motivated to study or complete a large project. I mean there are so many other things that I would rather be doing. I can be really motivated with work and wanting to improve in my career. But, I put off everything school related until the last minute. I know I'm not the only one out there that gets like this though. All procrastinators can relate to these thoughts.

First you think "It is August and my term paper isn't due until the end of November, I got this!". You just kind of think about the fact that you have tasks to complete, but it never really amounts to you doing anything.

But then we realize that there are so many other things we would rather spend our time doing, like going to the movies or a party. It always seems like all of the fun school activities happen right when I should be working on school work.

Sometimes you will just think about all of the work you have to do, and it seems like a lot.

So, you try to distract yourself and you get to the point where you start bargaining with yourself. Like "Okay if I write one paragraph of my paper then I can watch an episode of Law and Order" or "I'll watch a few more YouTube videos and then I really need to start".

Then, you finally start working on it and suddenly everything you hate doing becomes the best idea ever. I mean, I hate washing the dishes, but if it prolongs writing my paper, let's do it! Seriously, you should see how clean my house is during finals.

Once, it finally comes to where you don't have anymore time to waste you start to wonder why you waited so long.

You start to think that this is the worst idea you ever had and that you will never do it again. You might even start to contemplate dropping out and becoming a stripper just so you can avoid the stress ahead of you.

Caffeine is now your best friend. You chug coffee until you are wired and you really buckle down and get the job finished.

After all the stress and freaking out, you finally got the job done. You start to find yourself feeling like a pro.

To my fellow procrastinators, I wish you luck and I hope that you do well on all of your assignments. To the planners, I do not suggest becoming a procrastinator it is definitely not for everyone.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.

Here are some "Parks and Rec" moments that relate to life struggles that just about everyone faces.

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her. Fans love her because she isn't afraid to be herself. April can seem cold and negative, but she's really just fearless and strong-minded. And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. April complains whenever she has to do any kind of work, but ends up doing the work anyway. April Ludgate is the ultimate college student spirit animal.
