Procrastination As Told By The Grinch

Ahhh... sweet procrastination... I mean who doesn't like to put off their work for hours, days, and maybe even weeks? Procrastination is a cycle because no matter how many times you realize how stupid you were for doing it you do it over and over again.

It all starts when your sitting in class and your professor is explaining the homework, a paper, or a project and you sit there and think to yourself "Don't worry I have time"

You get home and look over your assignments and realize how much you absolutely hate school and your professors for assigning so much stuff.

You may even think about starting to do your assignments when all of a sudden a friend calls, and wants you to go out with them tonight, so you have to make a decision... Which is more important, school or friends?

Welp, there goes one day you could have done your assignment, so the next morning you get up with all the intent in the world to do your assignment, but then you completely forget about it when you decide that you need something to eat even though you're really not that hungry

While eating, you start to schedule out your day to find the time to do your assignment. But, as you look you find you will be very busy with important things you need to attend to that day. Your schedule looks a little like this

Then you have realized you simply have no room for your assignment that day, so you have to put it off for yet another day. This is what you end up doing all day rather than your assignment, or any of the stuff that was in your planner.

And laughing at yourself while doing it

So you end up going a little stir crazy, but still keeping yourself too busy to do your assignments.

You end up trying to keep your mind occupied in any way possible rather than doing the work that needs to be done

But then, the day that the assignment is due you finally realize, "Oh sh*t I completely forgot about this assignment, and kept putting it off I need to get it done"

You also realize that your grade is going to be determined by this assignment so now you need to start to care about it

You are not too happy with yourself that you put it off for so long, so you throw a little bit of a temper tantrum mixed with a panic attack because you think you won't get it done in time

After your mini freak out episode, you need to begin your assignment, so you go into overdrive mode

But, you had to rush through it because it needed to be submitted in 2 hours, so you know it wasn't your best work

After you hand in your assignment you want to completely forget about the feelings you went through due to procrastinating. You need to erase those memories in any way possible, and so you repeat the cycle of procrastination every assignment after that.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
