Hey you,
You're doing it again. You've waited until the last minute and you are entirely way too stressed out now. Making "to-do lists," scrolling through social media until your eyes dry out, playing games on your phone; they're all some of your greatest procrastination techniques. I know it, you know it, but you've got to stop. Whatever you're waiting to do is probably due tomorrow and I bet you haven't even started. Just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and get your sh** together.
I know it's been a long day, but let's be honest, you have had plenty of time to do this. Set a timer for 30 minutes and get as much as you can done. Then take a break, but don't forget to set your timer for that too or you'll end up 54 weeks back on your ex's cousin's best friend's Instagram. You're better than this.
I think Apple invented the "Do Not Disturb" feature just for people like you and me. Go ahead and turn it on, you can thank me later. Maybe even have your roommate hide your phone, temptation can be VERY real. I promise what is on your Twitter feed will be there when you're finished.
You can't go out tonight until you're finished and I can hear the bars screaming your name. You're so close, but don't fall into their trap. Living in Athens can be very dangerous when all of your friends are getting ready and you're stuck aimlessly staring at your laptop.
I have high hopes that you can get this done and enjoy the rest of your night. Buckle down and do your best. We both know "I work better under pressure" is a load of crap, so don't give me that. I don't want to hear any more excuses. I know you've been busy, but your professors really don't care. A deadline is a deadline.
You really need to stop doing this to yourself, you are smarter than this. Procrastination really has a tight grip and but I know you can fight your way out.
You will get everything done. You will get to go out with your friends or just relax. Stop putting yourself in these positions or you can just stop here and read this all over again.
Good ol' Abe Lincoln once said, “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today."
