Often in life, people look at you on the surface and assume things about you, good or bad. Like when you look at the beautiful, popular girl in high school and assume she’s mean spirited because that’s how all the movies are. Or when you look at a couple kissing in public and assume they’re happy in their relationship.
As you can see, these are things nobody can really know unless they get to know the person they’re looking at and judging. In my case, people see me and see the As and Bs I’ve consistently gotten in school for years. People assume I’m super smart, well organized and on top of my game. This is far from the truth. I’m actually the world’s worst procrastinator. It doesn’t matter how big or small the assignment is. You can bet I’ll be in bed texting or watching YouTube videos until I only have an hour or so to turn something in. In fact, I started this article three hours before it was due and I had a week to finish it (and I’m ashamed of myself). Even though I hate the anxiety that comes along with procrastination, it’s a bad habit that I can’t seem to control. Trust me, I wish I could. So to make myself feel better about my awful work ethic, I decided to demonstrate the process of procrastination with characters from my favorite show, "Parks & Recreation." I hope at least some of you can feel my pain.
