People all around the world travel, whether they drive, take a train or fly in an airplane! While you plan your flight or figure out which route you will be going, you never stop to think about some of the situations that could happen to you. While there are many problems the could happen while driving or taking a train, I am going to focus this article on problems that you can run into while riding in an airplane:

1. Keeping your luggage under 50 pounds

While you pack for the trip you have planned, remember, you have to keep your luggage under 50 pounds or else you get charged again (because the plane ticket apparently wasn't enough, they will charge you even more if your luggage is even 1 pound over).

2. Don't even think about bringing liquids through security

Now I'm not arguing that safety is not important because without the help of the airport security, there could be many problems that could occur. But if you want to go to Starbucks for your annual morning coffee I would suggest waiting until after you get through security check. If you have liquid coffee they will make you dump it out. The only liquid that is allowed through in your carry on would be enough to fit in a 3.4 ounce bottle that needs to be put into a quart sized bag. So long story short, do not get your morning coffee until after you are through security.

3. Plane delays

Whether you are stuck in the airport waiting for the plane to come or in cases on the run way waiting for the plane to take off, plane delays are a pain in the butt! Now if your plane is delayed and you're still in the airport, it's not that bad because you can tour around the airport and get food. But if you are that unlucky person and already on the plane and have to wait until you can take off you do not have the luxury of touring around the airport. One thing to keep in mind before getting on the plane, grab some snacks and something to do because you never know if you get stuck on the plane how long you will be there!

4. Crying children

We all love children, but not when flying! If you have headphones, I highly suggest putting them on because some children will cry the entire trip. I'm not saying all children will cry because that did not happen on my recent trip, but if they do cry they make sure everyone knows they are on the plane! So when packing you might want to make sure you have headphones.

5. Kids kicking the seats and parents are doing nothing about it

If you are the lucky person that is in front of a kid, be prepared to have a nice back massage or something similar to it! Kids will let you know that they are behind you and they think it is funny to kick the seat in front of them and completely ignoring the fact that there is someone in that seat. Now you would think the parents would do something about it but no they don't! Not all kids do this and not all parents allow them to kick the seats, but just be prepared to have your seat kicked if there are children behind you.

Traveling can be fun, but just remember these 5 things that could occur while you are planning your flight to where ever you are going! Take lots of pictures of your vacation and if your lucky enough to get the window seat take some pictures of the scenery outside the plane!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
