Summer birthdays can sometimes be the worst. Here are my top twelve struggles with this issue.
1. You are typically the youngest in your grade.
2. Planning your birthday meant keeping it low-key.
3. Literally everyone is on vacation so if you want to do anything, it must be planned in advance.
4. You have to be cool with people cancelling.
5. You have to understand that it will never change, even on your important birthdays.
6. If you hope to get off of work for your birthday, you better ask months in advance and continuously remind your boss.
7. If by some chance you do get a decent number of people to attend, its because you're not celebrating on your actual birthday.
8. You make sure everyone remembers when your birthday is.
9. And when your birthday turns out great, it is literally the best day of your life.
10. Then after your birthday you start thinking about next year.
11. The later your birthday is, the more clothes, gift cards, and school supplies you will get.
12. And in the end, you realize that each year you worry, but each year it turns out okay.
