Much like the laws that citizens are forced to abide by, the government has laws its supposed to abide by and these laws are written down in the Constitution. Unlike citizens laws which tell you what you can not do, government laws tell the government what they can not force citizens to do or not do. Also, unlike citizens laws, our current government commonly isn't punished for violating its laws. An example of this would be the the law in the Constitution that says citizens have the right to bear arms.
The fact that citizens have the right to bear arms means that the government can't stop a law-abiding citizen from bearing arms. Our government is breaking its laws every day of the year in certain states by violating its citizens' rights to bear arms through concealed carry laws. The Constitution gives citizens the right to bear arms. It doesn't say arms need to be concealed or that we need a license to bear arms. We have the right to bear arms with no added objections; the moment the government passes a law that in anyway impedes a citizen's right to bear arms the government is breaking the law.
Beyond the fact that concealed carry laws are an unconstitutional violation of our human rights, the idea that we should pass concealed carry laws so that criminals can't hide their guns is most probably the stupidest idea ever. The only people who abide by concealed carry laws are law-abiding citizens who would carry guns for self-defense or the protection of the innocent in situations like mass shootings. The only people who don't abide by concealed carry laws are criminals who are going to use their guns to break the law. Criminals are criminals because they don't follow laws. If a person were planning on using a gun to kill someone he or she is not going to get a license to conceal carry; he or she is just going to conceal carry. There are no benefits to concealed carry laws--all they do is make it so that the only people who are armed are criminals.
