In the final debate held last Wednesday, both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were asked about abortion. This question isn't new to the election. Since Roe v Wade the topic of a women's right to choose has been talked about and debated. I am here to say that I am pro-choice but I will never have an abortion.
I am pro-choice because even though I would not be able to do it, I don't believe that gives me the right to tell others what they can and cannot do. For many, the choice is a religious stance. The church believes that life starts at conception, but in the constitution there is a little thing of separation of church and state. So even though my religion and maybe even your religion tell you this, it should not be the gold standard of our country.
Putting my catholic upbringing aside, I believe the choice to end a pregnancy is up to the family and if the mother is alone then it is up to her. As Secretary Clinton said, it is a personal choice and the government should not get involved.
As the title states I will never have an abortion. Under any circumstances. Not even if my life was in danger. I was raised by a mother who put her children first and that is exactly how I will be once I have children. Even if that means putting my life in danger. However, people who choose to live should not be shamed for their decision.
Each woman is entitled to do what she wants with her body. The government and surely not a 70 year old man, should not tell her what she can and cannot do. No man could ever know the joys and struggles of caring a child. He could not comprehend the responsibility, pain and thought that goes into making one of the hardest choices a woman has to make.
Many people are in the same boat as me. They support the right to choose but would never choose to end a pregnancy themselves. What a woman does or does not do with her body should not be a political discussion. It is a private one. A hard one that shouldn't be judged or demeaned.

I'm Pro-Choice But I Will Never Have An Abortion
I don't have the right to make decisions for others, and neither do you.
