One of Disney’s greatest princess created was Princess Mia. Growing up watching the two Princess Diaries movies gave me more confidence to by myself. I wouldn’t make so many awkward faces if I had never seen Mia do them first. She was one of my greatest role models as I grew up, and still is. Throughout the series she transforms into a knowledgeable and sort of graceful Queen, without losing who she really is. No matter what she ends up fighting for what she believes is right. She teaches us many things that sometimes we fail to think about. Mia inspires all of us to stick to our quirky awkward roots, but to also embrace the future exceed expectations. Looking back, this series shows so many true parts of life, and also teaches many great lessons for everyone. Here are just a few of the reasons why this series is so incredible.
- She keeps her expectations real
- Don't just think about yourself
- Goals in life set straight
- Anybody can be a princess
- We are all queens, we just don't know it yet.
- How to respond to an awkward compliment
- My limited dancing abilities
- Being a jerk gets you nowhere
- The struggles of pantyhose
- Sometimes you have to bend the rules to live fully
- We are powerful
- Believing in yourself
- Our reactions whenever we see a couple making out in public
- Our friends words of encouragement in times of doubt
- How fast moods can change
- Losing it
- Crying is okay
- Her positive, yet relatable outlook on life
- Courageous, not cautious
- Reality of being invisible
- Coordination in gym class
- Exhaustion after a long day, week, month, year, life
- Every time Grandma sees my bad posture
- Not to forget the moment when somebody tells us something that we just can't wrap our heads around
- But turn out being pretty great at it
Thank you Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, for showing me that I can be a princess too.
