How many of you out there have Amazon Prime? Because I do, and it ruining my life in the best way I could ever imagine. Let me get this completely on the record by saying my name is Maggie and I’m addicting to priming.

I’m a Late Night Primer, it’s probably the worst of the worst because when you’re up late into the hours of the morning, you think everything is a great idea. You really think you need everything on your screen. Did you want to know my last three purchases that were a result of my late night priming issue?

The first? A makeup organizer, something that’s clear with two draws, a few cups and twenty-four small slots for me to put my lipsticks on display, because I’m totally going to school for makeup so I should have this right? I’M NOT. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve primed in the world but definitely not something I needed in my life. However, I guess now I’ll look super organized when I go back to schoolwith all my lipstick on display.

The second thing I primed? A Funko mystery mini Finding Dory figure. In case you didn’t know what this figure was, there’s a company named Funko that makes small figures of characters from different TV shows and movies that come in a fancy package. This one specifically sends mini figures but you don’t know which you are getting, bringing a whole element of surprise to priming…so why not! Click free shipping, and I’ll get it in two days. I now have the cute squid who inks and the grumpy octopus that’s in the new movie. Did I mention I love Finding Dory? It’s my favorite Pixar movie of all time.

The third thing I’ve recently primed was, of course, a WWE tee shirt for the one and only Finn Balor. For anyone who slightly knows me knows I’m utterly obsessed with WWE, it’s a strong passion of mine that I just can’t shake and because of that, I often find myself priming tee shirts and even a lanyard.

So why is it that priming is so easy for me? It’s part quickness and part curiosity. There’s so much you can buy on amazon and you never even need to leave the house to go shopping. You can do it all on your phone or your laptop. The speed is the best part of the deal, getting things in two or three days is the best shipping you could ever possibly get.

However, there is an upside to Priming and that comes in the form of school and dorms. With the new school year rolling around, my textbooks – all primed – came within a week of ordering them which dissolves the hassle of my worrying that they won’t be here in time for class. Especially with ordering things for my dorm room – from tapestries to light fixtures and command hooks – everything I need is within the touch of a button.

So, sometimes it comes with unnecessary items, but Amazon Prime can be the best and the worst thing of the internet and online shopping. Go forth my friends and prime to your heart’s desire but be safe and smart when you do it!

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
