First, to anyone who clicked on this article ready to hear my argument and agree: You should really think about your lives.
Pride month IS important.
Acknowledgment of those who struggle with their identities and acceptance in life IS important.
And don't even get me started on those that argue, "Well, why isn't there a straight pride month?"
There is no straight pride month because you were never shamed for being attracted to the opposite sex. You were praised. So don't fight a losing battle.
And to everyone that is celebrating this month, whether you're out or not: YOU AND YOUR EMOTIONS ARE VALID.
Whether you are gay, bi, pansexual, transgender, or anything else, you are perfect.
This is your time.
Celebrate it with those who accept you for you.
Know yourself and show everyone else who you are. :) I'm proud of you. You are absolutely beautiful in every single way.
