Previewing the three biggest games on the calender for Week 2

It's already been a week of the National Football League Season and there was many exciting games that happened in Week 1. Last Sunday Night, the New England Patriots were playing a tough Arizona Cardinals team in Arizona which is not an easy place to play in. Somehow some way, the Patriots pulled out with a 23-21 victory. The Patriots won this game without starting quarterback Tom Brady who missed his first game of his four game suspension. They also had a huge blow to their offense as well with starting tight end Rob Gronkowski out with a hamstring injury. Right now we don't know Gronkowski's status for week 2 against Miami but with him practicing two days this week, it looks like he'll make his season debut. The story however in this game, was how Jimmy Garoppolo would play in his first game as a starter. He didn't dissappoint at all as he went 24-33 with 1 touchdown and no interceptions. Couple other exciting games included the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets, as well as the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. The Bengals won a game winning field goal by Mike Nugent. The player of that game though has to go to Wide Reciever AJ Green. Green had a field day against a very good corner back in Darelle Revis. Green had 12 receptions for 180 yards and a touchdown. The Jets are now playing the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football. In the Giants vs Cowboys game, it was a great back and forth game. Eli Manning and Dak Prescott showed a great showing. The Giants pulled out with a 20-19 win. So with these exciting games happening in Week 1, here are my Week football picks.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers- This is always a very exciting game to see. Between two very good wide receivers in AJ Green for the Bengals and arguably the best receiver in football Antonio Brown. It'll be interesting to see how both quarterbacks play with Ben Roethlisberger and Andy Dalton coming off of week 1 wins. Coming back after that brutal playoff loss for the Bengals, there hoping for a bounce back game.

Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots- This game plan will be very interesting. The Patriots are off an exciting win and now there starting their first out of their 3 games with Jimmy Garoppolo at Gillette Stadium. He'll be facing a tough Miami Dolphins front 7 defense that could give this offensive line some trouble. Patriots have played well defensively but they could be without one of their best linebackers in Donta Hightower. I expect that the Patriots should be able to beat the Miami Dolphins but it won't be easy.

Colts vs Broncos- This should be an exciting game as Andrew Luck will come into Denver and try to upset the Broncos in Denver.

In conclusion, there are many other good games on the calendar, but these three games will probably be the most exciting out of all of these games.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
