4 Pretty Cool (Free) Things For College Students

Identification can get you far in life. Driving, voting, travel, drinking, banks, and now college email addresses and IDs. College students have so many opportunities to save money and get free (or really cheap things).

1. Amazon Prime

College students can sign up for a free six-month trial of Amazon Student with free two day (or less!) shipping. Just do not forget to cancel when the trial is up, or else something that was free can turn into an expensive membership.

2. Software

Use your .edu email address and get free software like AutoDesk (used by designers), Microsoft Imagine (for software development and design), or OnTheHub (a website that helps college students find free and discounted software).

3. Museum Admission

With either free or greatly reduced admission, a museum might be the perfect place to spend the day in when your English essay just seems too daunting.

4. Checking Accounts

Some banks offer free checking accounts for college students, including US Bank, Bank of America, and Chase.

Whether it will make your online shopping addiction less expensive, your laptop cooler, widens your modern art perspectives, or increases your financial stability, college students have many free resources at their disposal.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
