Presidents Are Far From "Dumb"

Whether you want to accept it, they all are smart enough to be elected president.

The practice of calling politicians “idiots” or “stupid” or “imbeciles” is a practice that many many people take part in. It’s extremely understandable. You see a politician getting in trouble for sending dick pics to some person and getting caught. You can be very justified in calling said person an idiot because, in hindsight, it is a regrettable act. However, while some politicians legitimately can be called idiots or imbeciles because of the absurd acts they commit, there is one group of politicians that simply are very, very far from being dumb. That group are the ones that serve the office of president.

Presidents are not dumb by any stretch of the imagination, any of them.

Do they sometimes said dumb things or do dumb things? Sure! But they are not dumb. Even without taking into account that they all have very strong educations from world-renowned institutions, they are still pretty damn smart.

How you may ask?

Well for one, they became president. Idiots do not become presidents. Whether they may have appealed to voters of less than average intelligence is another story. George W. Bush, for example, is usually mocked. Is he dumb? HE WAS ELECTED TWICE. That's very, very, very far from being dumb. He knew to play the voting base and the system. So who is the real fool? The one we may see be the fool or the millions of people that followed the person?

The only fools that can be said are the ones that voted.

Also note: I just used George W. Bush as an example, I do not necessarily believe that his voting base was foolish by any means- I just decided to use him to illustrate my point on how some people view the intelligence level of presidents.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
