Last night’s debate proved that our potential candidates for presidents are liars, immature, selfish, and that they don’t deserve to be called president of the United States of America.
I was hoping to see a better side of Donald Trump in this debate to challenge crooked Clinton. Instead, I saw the reincarnation of the Trump that received the Republican nomination. After the video that leaked that revealed him to be careless about women, he decided to go back to being Donald Trump. He stepped aside from his “political image” and decided to verbally assault Hillary Clinton. This is the same image that he had as one of the Republican candidates to receive the nomination. He verbally insulted his former candidates and unfortunately was loved by Republicans. He received the nomination due to the reason that a lot of people are upset about the lies of politicians. He became someone that people can relate to or agree with. In case you didn’t know, the government is “corrupt.”
Moreover, I wasn’t only shocked by Trump’s assaults, but I was also disgusted by the political image that Clinton was trying to bring. It was almost too easy for her to seem compassionate by talking about small families and looking in the eyes of the Muslim girl, yet it appeared to be robotic and non-genuine. She had no comebacks for Trump’s assaults because most of them were true regarding her emails, the attacks to Benghazi, and he was correct about the lies that she has been concealing from Americans for several years. She responded that what Trump was saying were all lies, but had no back-up or support for those statements.
Her statements, although a little more political, were also attacking Trump. I felt like I was watching Dr. Phil, or an episode of Laura on Hispanic television. Anderson Cooper himself couldn’t keep the candidates from saying things to each other, and it was all true. The majority of attacks were toward Trump, and Clinton has been let off the leash on many lies that she has mentioned.
What is my opinion? My opinion is that the presidential stage was filled with two liars that didn’t like each other, no matter how professional they tried to look or appeared to be. The only thing that they care about is making a mark on history, and it is a shame that Americans chose both of these candidates to represent their respective parties. They are selfish and they are on it for themselves. Clinton has changed her views several times throughout her years, as well as Donald.
I was impressed by the last question from the last person, that asked if either of them have something that they like about the other person. I was impressed at how fake Clinton’s tone seemed at her response. She clearly wasn’t expecting that question, and she was only waiting for another question to lash at Trump. All that she said was that she likes his kids and that they respect him, but nothing direct toward Trump. This clearly revealed the little bit of competition that she had inside of her, one of the clear secrets that she might have. I was astonished as Trump’s response, a little deeper than usual, and it revealed a good side of him. He mentioned that he likes that Clinton never gives up, and that she perseveres no matter what, and that he thinks that is a good think.
Did they really mean what they said in the end? I would doubt it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have huge disdain toward one another after this debate. We can only pray that the best out of both of these candidates are selected to be the next president. After this debate, in the next four years, hopefully, another good candidate will come up and will change the landscape of America, for sure.
