Dak Attack! We love Dak! It's all the rage now. Ever since Dak Prescott, rookie Quarterback from Mississippi State took over for the Dallas Cowboys the team has gained a successful 6-1 record. Prescott took over the position when veteran quarterback, Tony Romo, went down in week two with a shoulder injury from a hit by Seattle Seahawks Linebacker, Bruce Irvin. This made Cowboys fans nervous since they were in this no-Romo situation last year, and it lead to an awful 4-12 record.
However, to everyone's surprise but mine, Prescott stepped up with no problems at all. While he didn't win his first game, he also didn't turn the ball over. After watching that game, I knew this wouldn't define our season. We had two players behind the line of scrimmage who never played a down of NFL football before, but still had immense talent. I knew they would get into a good rhythm soon.
As it turned out, that meant the very next week. Prescott still didn't turn the ball over, the Running Back, Ezekiel Elliot, looked great, and it all lead to a Cowboys win. This win gave them enough confidence and momentum to carry them to five more wins. They play the Browns this week, so that should be another win, and an easy one at that.
I had watched Prescott over the past few years at Mississippi State, and I knew he was talented. In fact, I liked him so much, I even wrote a blog about him on my old blog, samsuttonsnews.blogspot.com. I have a new blog that's way better, called samsuttonnews.wordpress.com.
Anyways, enough promoting myself. The point is, I love Prescott. I think he is everything the Cowboys need, and while I've been a Romo fan for a while, his time has come to an end. Go Cowboys! Go Prescott! Go get that Super Bowl championship!
