Preparing To Go Back To School After The Summer

As the Summer is quickly coming to an end, college students are trying to get used to the idea that school is starting back very soon. This is where you're stuck in the middle of being so incredibly done with your hometown, but no quite ready to get back into reality. So here are the 10 stages that you feel when you realize that Summer is coming to an end.

1. Denial

Summer isn't really coming to an end is it?

2. Realization

Where did all the time go? You've not done half of the things you had planned to do- and now it's too late to do anything.

3. Organizing

Trying to find everything you've lost over the break and getting things ready to be packed up.

4. Despair

You haven't spoken to anyone from school for weeks now, you remember all the hard classes you signed up for and you suddenly realize how much of a struggle this is actually going to be.

5. Hope

Maybe there will be some freak weather that will postpone school from starting for a few extra weeks?

6. Expectation

You try to think positive about this upcoming semester, and have high expectations. Just keep telling yourself that everything is going to be just fine.

7. Procrastinating

You have many things to do to get ready for school but instead you kick back and relax because you can do that important stuff later.

8. Panic

Okay, you procrastinated too long and now you're screwed.

9. Pulling yourself together

You have no more time and you have to start getting your things together.

10. Acceptance

This is happening and school is starting no matter what. You've just got to accept it and keep going. Actually, if you admit it you've been suffering a bit of cabin fever and it's going to be good to get out again and see everyone.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
