How To Prepare For Hibernation

Step 1: Acceptance

The first step in preparing for the chilly winter months is accepting that this crisp and beautiful fall weather will soon turn into piercing winds of winter. Though winter gives us the opportunity to do some fun outdoor activities and take some artsy instas, it often times looks less like this

and feels more like this

Step 2: Prepare

Gather your slippers, sweatshirts, and blankets. Maybe find a couple of sassy mugs (Suggestions here and here) for all of your favorite warm ~bevs~ . It is also a good idea to stock up on some foods to keep in your dorm (other than Pop-tarts and Goldfish) like Mac and cheese, frozen foods or soup. (suggestions here)

Step 3: Live it

And here are some suggestions to watch:

Gilmore Girl ( Netflix)

The Office(Netflix)

Gossip Girl (Netflix)

How to Get Away with Murder (Amazon)

Parks and Recreation (Netflix)

Awkward (MTV.com / Amazon)

The Mindy Project (Hulu)

The Spectacular Now (Freeform.com)

Inside Out & all of you other favorite animated Disney movies (Disneychannel.com)

Mean Girls (Netflix)

The Harry Potter Series (Amazon)

The Butler (Netflix)

Hunger Games trilogy (Freeform.com)

Salt (Amazon)

The Taken trilogy (Amazon)

Lastly, if all else fails we will always have these:

Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
