If you missed the first episode of the new season of The Bachelor, here's a quick recap of what happened and who made some good impressions and who really really didn't.

Basically the season premiere starts as they always do, with a heartwarming "get to know you" about Nick Viall and his hometown in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his hope that fourth time really is the charm for him and his love life. He received some words of wisdom from past bachelors which hopefully, he took their words to heart.

The ladies who in my opinion made the worst impressions so far were:

Jasmine G: The one who had already picked out her engagement ring and wanted Nick to know her size and diamond choice. She even brought Neil Lane, "the ring guy," with her. This screams awkward...just why? I guess it's good to be prepared but he hasn't really even met you yet?

Elizabeth: The one who had already met Nick...you know what i mean! It's not that I don't like her, it's just the whole interaction was extremely uncomfortable and knowing what we did, it was just weird.

Josephine: The woman who basically force fed Nick a cold hotdog from inside of a book which was just weird and too much.

Lacey: I get that your entrance needs to "stand out" but riding in on a camel and confidently saying "I hear you like a good hump and so do I" just didn't do it for me. Too extra.

Alexis: Dolphin? Shark? She's clearly confused. And stop with all of the weird dolphin jokes Alexis, we get it you love dolphins but come on. Tone it down.

Corrine: She has a nanny? Odd. She gave Nick a bag of tokens? Odd.

The ladies who made a far better impression so far were:

Rachel: Obviously I don't want to speak too soon but their conversation seemed to go pretty well and Nick seemed to like her during their chat. She wasn't too crazy with her entrance.

Vanessa: Good chemistry. Didn't seem like a crazy from what I saw but time will tell.

Rachel: Well she got the first impression rose so clearly she did something right!

Ida Marie: Yeah the trust fall was a bit "wtf" but it could have been a worse first impression!

So the women who Nick (kinda) sadly said goodbye to were: Olivia, Lauren, Brianna, Jasmine B, Michelle, Ida Marie, Angela, and Susannah.

So that means the women who will either prove their love for Nick or get weirder as the episodes go on are: Vanessa, Danielle L, Christen, Astrid, Corrine, Elizabeth W, Jasmine G, Raven, Kristina, Danielle M, Sarah, Josephine, Lacey, Taylor, Hailey, Whitney, Alexis, Dominique, Jaimi, Brittany and Liz

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
