Pregame (Verb) - Drinking prior to an event, usually at a party, but often, a college course or lecture.
The Pre-Pregame
It starts with a shot after your last class at noon on Friday. Then it’s a shower beer. After your shower, it’s a mixed drink while you spend the next 2-3 hours getting ready. Then you actually have to leave your house and go to the planned pregame.
The “Oops”
You went over to your friend’s house for a quiet wine night, but after about a bottle and a half, you guys are ready to rage. You’re inviting people over last minute and figuring out your evening plans, all while cracking open another cold one.
The “Hopeless” Pregame
You know your nights going nowhere fast. The whole purpose of a pregame is to pump you up for the night ahead, but this pregame just kills it. The music sucks and the people are boring. So you pack your beer bag and head out with hopes of finding something better to do.
The Pregame - Turned - Rager
It was supposed to be just a small group getting ready together, sharing clothes, and doing each other’s makeup and hair, but then, the way - too -drunk friend shoots a mass text off inviting everyone they know to the house. You all have to get ready quickly so you don’t miss the party happening in your own living room.
The Power Hour
The rule-based pregame. This is shot of beer every minute for an hour. Usually accompanied with funny video clips or awesome music videos. The objective: to get so intoxicated that your bar tab is almost nothing.
The Tailgate
This is the 9 AM pregame. Usually, you don’t even end up watching the actual game that you’re tailgating for but you have a nice buzz all day, which is way more important.
