Preface: Dedicated To All Who Wonder Why

As I continue my undergraduate studies at Boston University, I am faced with new and fascinating challenges I have never experienced before. From learning about Nietzsche’s philosophical concepts to learning why cell membranes work the way they do, I feel that as days fly by, I learn more and more about the world and myself.

I have always been a person who likes to express her feelings through creativity. I’ve recited motivational speeches and sung in the shower since I can remember. I’ve written poems and have created hundreds of videos. However, I deeply believe that we are living in a time of change and thus, I can no longer keep any work of art to myself.

America is currently in need of a message of hope and knowledge. This is why I decided to join “The Odyssey,” a “social media platform that grants people a voice to bring meaning to the world.” *Thank you Jane the Virgin for making me realize that what I was missing in my life all this time was becoming a writer. TELENOVELA SCRIPTWRITING HERE I COME!*

Chapter one of this journey is dedicated to my family and friends who will be reading these weekly stories. You may ask: What should I expect? To be informed, challenged and introduced to new ideas that matter to me. Ideas that might or might not make an impact in your life.

So secure your seatbelt and join me in this wild and exciting journey I call life.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

The holiday season is full of stress, debt, and forced conversation. While we rush through the month of December, it's important to take a step back and enjoy the moments before they're gone. I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
