The Gold Glove Award is given to a player at each position in both the American and National League for the best fielding percentage. Here are my predictions for Gold Glove winners in both the NL & AL.

AL Gold Glove winners

Pitcher- Trevor Bauer

Trevor Bauer has a fielding percentage of 1.000. He has 13 putouts and 13 assist. This is very important for pitchers to field well because it is an easy out every time when you’re a good fielder.

Catcher- Russell Martin

Martin has a fielding percentage of .998. He has 805 putouts and 45 assists. Runners on base are afraid to run on him because he has a quick arm. He’s played in 104 games this season witch is second behind Salvador Perez in the AL.

1st base- Miguel Cabrera

Cabrera has a fielding percentage of .996. He has 1,006 putouts and 80 assists. Cabrera is by far the best 1st basemen in baseball. You can rely on him to make so many plays.

2nd base- Robinson Cano

Cano has a fielding percentage of .997. He has 241 putouts and 346 assists. Cano continues to play great at 2nd base. He makes his team better and doesn’t take many days off.

3rd base- Evan Longoria

Longoria has a fielding percentage of .980. He has 76 putouts and 212 assists. Longoria has played well consistently at 3rd base for almost 10 years and is a lifetime Rays player.

Shortstops- Francisco Lindor

Lindor has a fielding percentage of .984. He has 180 putouts and 376 assists. He is one of the many reasons why the Indians are going to make the postseason. Lindor is a young player that has made a huge impact in Cleveland.

Left Field- Alex Gordon

Gordon has a fielding percentage of .995. He has 181 putouts and 6 assists. Gordon has made the Royals one of the best defensive teams in baseball.

Center Field- Jackie Bradley Jr.

Bradley Jr. has a fielding percentage of .990. He has 294 putouts and 12 assists. JBJ has made a huge impact for the Red Sox.

Right Field- Mookie Betts

Mookie has a fielding percentage of .997. He has 276 putouts and 11 assists. Betts is the best right fielder in the AL because of his speed.

NL Gold Glove winners

Pitcher- Madison Bumgarner

Bumgarner has a fielding percentage 1.000. He has 1 putout and 19 assists. Bumgarder is the best defensive pitcher in the game.

Catcher- Yadier Molina

Molina has a fielding percentage of 902 putouts and 45 assists. Molina has been outstanding this season for the Cardinals. He’s played in 119 witch leads the NL in games played as a catcher.

1st base- Adrian Gonzalez

Gonzalez has a fielding percentage of .998. He has 935 putouts and 77 assists. Gonzalez has played good consistently at 1st base. The Dodgers are in a playoff race and Gonzalez has helped them get into the position because of his good defense.

2nd base- DJ LeMahieu

LeMahieu has a fielding percentage of .990. He has 237 putouts and 364 assists. LeMahieu is by far the best 2nd basemen in the National League.

3rd base- Nolan Arenado

Arenado has a fielding percentage of .980. He has 81 putouts and 304 assists. Ever sense Arenado made it to the MLB, he has made huge splash.

Shortstop- Brandon Crawford

Crawford has a fielding percentage of .979. He has 172 putouts and 353 assists. Crawford has made a huge improvement as shortstop and has made great plays.

Left Field- Christian Yelich

Yelich has a fielding percentage of .985. He has 192 putouts and 5 assists. Yelich has had a breakout year for the Marlins and they are in playoff contention.

Center Field- Andrew McCutchen

McCutchen has a fielding percentage of .992. He has 251 putouts and 5 assists. McCutchen has turned it around the 2nd half of the season and has made a huge impact for the Pirates.

Right Field- Curtis Granderson

Granderson has a fielding percentage of 1.00. He has 194 putouts and assists. Granderson has played great for the Mets this season.
