As millions of high school students prepare to go into their first year of college, the online articles from Buzzfeed and the Pinterest boards for dorm decor are flooding social media accounts nationwide. Freshman year is very important in terms of what to anticipate, expect and hope for, and being prepared is, as DJ Khaled would say, a major key.

This article, however, is dedicated to my fellow sophomores, and really any college returner. As high school seniors transition to college, college students at every level are making transitions of their own. So, as the Class of 2019 prepares for round two, here are some things I expect to go down.

1. Walking in like you own the place

Remember how nervous we were during move-in? "Am I an adult? Will I make new friends? Will I like my professors?" With a whole year down, we will definitely have more confidence and attitude.

2. Judging freshmen. Judging them hard.

"How can you not know where your classes are? It's not that big of a campus ..."

3. Rekindling with your college squad.

Especially relatable for out-of-state students who had to go a whole summer without seeing their one-year-old college friendships.

4. Thinking about this little thing called "the rest of your life

During freshman year, you were able to knock out a lot of general education courses and buy some time. But narrowing down to a specific major/minor will be a difficulty many sophomores this year will face.

5. #Adulting

Let's be honest: during freshman year most of us lived in an on-campus dorm that was taken care of by maintenance and patrolled by RAs. We ate at dining halls or greek houses. We went home constantly. As many of us transition to off-campus apartments, we will be cleaning and cooking. We will need to deal with roommates on our own. While we gain a little more independence, easy mac and ramen will always have a place in our hearts.

All in all, college students need to stick together. If you see a freshie sitting alone at a table, sit with them. If they look lost, guide them. Because, as the following Kristen Wiig gifs below will prove, we have more similarities than differences.

And lastly,

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
