Life is precious. We’re all supposed to be here to live life and have fun doing it while being able to have a productive life, right?
Well, sometimes that is not the case and some lives are taken unexpectedly, randomly, and without warning. It is unfortunate and grieving to see people pass on through our lifetimes of both friends and family alike, but it is most tragic when you had recently spoken with a friend and then the next day they’re gone.
This was the case for many people here in the Wabash community as we mourn the passing of a fellow brother. Many are hurt, many are stunned, and most are in disbelief that such an amazing Wabash brother could pass so unexpectedly. That is probably what hurts the most and I could only imagine what his family and immediate friends are feeling as I am writing this. To lose a loved one, especially someone who is close, is unexplainable.
Most often, the family and friends will feel as if there is a hole in their life where they once were. This is why life is precious. Life is something you should not take for granted. Life is something that you need to get up and live every single day. Life is something to never be forgotten. Whenever a tragedy occurs we must raise up and cherish each and every persons’ life because we really never know when our last day will come.
Plan for the future, but live for the day. Mourn when needed, but remember to celebrate the life that the loved one had. One thing that I can guarantee is that the person we lost would not want us to mourn every day. They want their lives to be celebrated and remembered but never forgotten. Life is precious.
