To My Future Husband...

I am not ready to be married, but I'll still pray for my husband.

I'm not ready to get married anytime soon by no means, but I pray for that one day when I meet that guy God has planned for me and I hope he is a man of faith, kind-hearted, loving, respectful, fun, goofy... and so on, and so forth.

Life isn't perfect and neither is marriage. There will be the bad times and there will be the good. I pray one day that we will come out of those bad times stronger and go through those good times happier than we have ever been.

Things I pray for my future husband:

Slow to anger

We are humans, we are not perfect and I understand that. I know we all get frustrated, it's apart of life.

But I pray that one day when I forget to put gas in the car or when I just do something wrong in general then my husband is understanding. He will not get mad and demanding, but understanding and loving.

Trust

In whatever circumstances, I pray that my husband and I will trust each other. We should also trust in God too and that His plans for us will be the best and will work out the way He wants them to be.

Respect

I feel like in today's world respect is what lacks a lot in relationships. If my husband does not like hearing what I say or a decision I have made then I hope he has enough respect to let me finish the conversation rather than interrupting me. And then giving me his opinion and I will stand there and listen to what he thinks.

Loving

At my worst times and at my best I hope he will always love me for me. For my past, my present and the future. When we have kids, I pray he shows my son how to treat a lady and I hope he shows my daughter how she should be treated by a man.

Man of God

I hope that I marry a man whose foundation is God and his love is for God. He will have his faults, because like I said we all are not perfect. I pray that he makes me a better Christian and we can lean on God in the bad times and the good.

Joyful

We will have our bad days, but I pray that my husband is positive everyday. He will look at the brighter side of things. I just pray that I can make my husband happy enough to bring him joy where he will not have to worry everyday and he can stay positive about most things.

Faithfulness

I pray he is just as crazy about me than I will be with him.

Through the bad times that he will not lose his faith. And the good times we both grow our faith and grow closer to each other.

We all deserve someone in our life. We deserved to be loved and to be happy. Most importantly though we cannot forget that the greatest love comes from God first and that is when we will be truly happy.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” ~ Galatians 5:22-23 NAS

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
