On May 3rd of 2018, the Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii erupted. Since May 3rd of 2018, there have been more than 600 hundred earthquakes from the volcanic eruption. Lava from the volcano has been shooting up more than 200 ft almost every day and there are no signs of letting up. The Kilauea volcano has been on a rampage for over two weeks now causing many evacuations and caution to this serious volcano.
In conclusion, though tropical storm Alberto has weakened to a subtropical storm, it still did not waste time wreaking havoc in the south. This storm has been brewing over the last past week now. Many in Alabama have been left without any power as the storm has Subtropical Storm Alberto made its way to landfall Monday afternoon in the Florida Panhandle. The storm has reached Alabama and large areas of Georgia — and eventually into Tennessee and the Carolinas.
It has not been confirmed if the storm has caused any major deaths or injuries, however, it has been said that in North Carolina, a crew of a television news anchor and a photojournalist were killed Monday when a rain uprooted toppling on their SUV as they were covering the storm system.
Two very uncontrollable forces of nature as with tropical storms and hurricanes you will have to ride the storm out until Mother nature has run her course just as with Kilauea’s volcanic activity. All in all, I would just ask as with this being a pure force of nature to pray for those in the pathway of these two natural phenomena that are occurring at this time.
