6 Things I Pray To Find In My Future Husband Every Day

I've been through my fair share of difficult heartbreaks.

They aren't fun and they make you wonder if you are actually worth something or are desirable. After each heartbreak, I always wonder, "When is my Prince Charming coming? I'm tired of waiting."

For this reason, I pray for my future husband every day:

1. I pray that my future husband knows love.

I (selfishly) hope that he's had his heart broken, too. I hope that he understands what it feels like to be let down, unloved, and tossed away. I hope he knows what this feels like so that he'll value our love and what we have so much more.

2. I pray that my future husband knows how to forgive.

We all make mistakes; there is no denying it. I pray that he forgives me if the house isn't always tidy. I pray that he forgives me when I get in one of my moods and have an attitude. I pray that he forgives me when I forget to pick up something from the store. I pray that he knows forgiveness and is able to forgive me.

3. I pray that my future husband loves to laugh.

There is nothing more in this world that I love more than having a good laugh with someone I love. It's so good for the soul and makes me feel so complete. I pray that we have countless nights that we just stay up together making each other laugh and we forget all of our other worries. Laughter is the best medicine and I hope that we can find that within each other.

4. I pray that my future husband will love to travel and explore the outdoors.

I can't wait to travel all around the world one day. I would love to share these experiences with my husband. I want to share kisses and a romantic candlelit dinner in Paris. I want to go skinny dipping in Greece. I want to go on a safari and visit an elephant reserve in Africa. I want to spend a night cuddling under the beautiful Northern Lights in Alaska. I want to see this beautiful world with my best friend. I want him to have these same dreams that I do.

5. I pray that my future husband wants to be a daddy.

There is nothing in this world that I want more than to be a mommy. I pray that he will be my partner and help me raise the beautiful children that we will have to become kind, smart, curious, and successful people. I hope that when our little girl falls down and cuts her knee, that he'll pick her right back up and kiss her little forehead and cover her cut with a bandaid. I hope that when our little boy gets the desire to play sports, that my husband will want to coach his team. I pray that my future husband will be a hands on dad and love our children just like my dad loves and adores me.

6. Lastly, I pray that my future husband loves me for me.

Please love me for me. I shouldn't have to change who I am for you to love me. I hope that you love the way that I sometimes snort when I laugh, sometimes drool when I sleep, and sometimes can't just leave you alone because I love you so much. I can't wait to meet you. You're all that I've been dreaming about. I pray that you're having a good day every day ... but I'm also praying that it's a day closer that I am to meeting you.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
