Dear Lord,
This school year has started, and it is definitely in full swing. To say that it has not been a struggle for me would totally be a lie. Which you know everything anyway. However, I pray that I don’t let that get me down. I want this year to be amazing for myself. I know that sounds selfish, but when I feel confident, I believe that I can help others. Helping others is what I want to do this year.
I know for a fact that you sent me here for a reason. I have not found out what that is yet, but I know that when the timing is right, I will see what I am supposed to do. I believe that I can make a difference on this campus even though it is a huge campus. I want to make a difference. My main prayer is that you will use me to positively impact people who need to hear the good news or realize that there will be struggles in life. This time in life can be hard and you may want to quit, but I want to help people who do feel that way to know that you, God, are the only one who can help them when they are going through a hard time. Use me to be the one who tells them and helps them realize that they are not alone, and they will never be alone with you.
I also pray that you will send me to the right places in this year. I do not want to miss out on a great opportunity because I didn’t go to the right place. I honestly doesn’t matter where it is as long as I know that you sent me there for a specific reason.
My final prayer for this year is that I follow your will for my life. I know that you are the ultimate author, and you have written my story for your purpose for me. This is what I want for my life is to live the story that you have already written for me.
This is my prayer for my freshman year in college and the years to come, and I hope the prayer for many others.
In Jesus’ Precious Name,
Amen
