A Prayer For My Future Husband

Actually, people should probably pray for you because you're going to be stuck with me.

A Prayer For My Future Husband
Heather Jones

We all plan it out, whether we admit it or not. We plan out every detail from the dress to who our maid-of-honor will be. Most of us have planned our perfect day out since we were kids on the playground. We always promised our best friend they could be there for our special day and we got starry-eyed at the thought of it. We already have our venue in mind and the colors that will fill the room, or the song we will dance to that will always be "our song". The one thing we don't think about; the groom. It's the one thing we can't plan or promise. We can hope or dream, but what if that falls through or doesn't pan out like you thought it would. We have all thought or dreamed of the one, but he's the one variable that isn't definite. We all pray for the guy we hope is in our future, but what do we pray? Do we pray that he looks good, or that he is a doctor or an engineer? Do we hope that he has the same dreams as our own? This is my prayer for my future husband.

I pray that I'm everything you prayed for. I pray that you always thought of me in making life decisions or when you lost the "girl of your dreams", or at least what you thought were your dreams. I pray that you pray for me and my life and our future together. I pray that you never lose sight of God and that He influences your daily life and thoughts. I pray that you are there for me when I need you the most and I promise to do the same. I hope you are everything you wanted to be in life and that you're happy with your journey to this point. I pray that when we cross paths that you see me as the girl you waited on. I pray that you have goals in life and that you strive to reach them everyday. I also hope that you remember my goals in our future and strive to help me reach them everyday. I pray that you look at me like you look at the stars and you never stop trying to name them all; you never stop falling in love with me. I hope that you are ready to take on my past and baggage and make me forget that I even had a life before you. I pray that you pray for my future and my present situations. I hope you don't regret anything in life and wake up every morning thankful. I pray that you love coffee and nineties music just as much as I do and you don't mind that smell and sound throughout our future home. I hope that you want as many kids as I do and that you help me raise them in God and love. I hope you love your family and respect your dad and adore your mom. I pray that you are ready for our journey together and our future life and all the memories to come.

You may already be in my life and if you are, then I pray that you stay. If you haven't made your way to me yet; that's ok too, because I will be here waiting for you when everything else is dark. I pray that you are everything I prayed and hoped for.

Love, Your future wife

(P.S. I'll go ahead and apologize for the mess; I'm not good at cleaning house and also I'm probably going to put up Christmas decorations way too early)

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
