It's so easy to get caught up with our daily routine and life commitments that we forget about the importance of focusing on the present. Below I have listed some ways to help relieve stress and improve mindfulness

Get an Agenda

One of the easiest ways to reduce stress is to improve your organization. By getting an an agenda you have place to visualize your to do list and tackle each task one at a time.


Guided Meditation App

It can be hard to focus or set aside time to meditate and practice our mindfulness. By using a guided meditation app you can focus on being present for a specific time period while being guided through each step of your practice.

Take time to be outside

It's easy to get stuck inside for extended periods of time. Whether your doing homework or sitting at a desk for your office job, set aside some time each day to be outside.

Breathe

When you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed take a moment to breath. Breathing techniques help reduce your heart rate and calm the nervous system's stress response.

Get a Journal

Journaling is a great way to visualize your thoughts and put things into perspective. Each morning take some time to down what you are grateful for and how you're feeling.

Go to yoga class

Yoga is a great way to relieve stress and improve your mindfulness practice. There are many types you can do, from Bikram to hot power yoga, vinyasa or even gentle yoga find what practice is is right for you.

Get an adult coloring book

Adult coloring books give you the ability to color mindlessly and let go of all the stressors that consume your mind throughout the day. This helps improve your ability to let go and be present in the moment.
