Ever wanted your 90’s childhood dreams to come true? Mine did!

"The Powerpuff Girls" was the ultimate girl power show of the 1990’s. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were THE superhero trio, constantly saving the citizens of the city of Townsville and fighting crime wherever it was. I even dressed up as Blossom for Halloween one year.

In anticipation of the reboot of one of Cartoon Network’s most popular shows of all time, a new website entitled "Powerpuff Yourself" was launched last week. It's exactly what the website's title is.

You have the ability to turn yourself into a Powerpuff. And not just a Powerpuff Girl. Guys can even be Powerpuffs, too! Just as long as they try not to be the Rowdy Ruff Boys. Unless they want to.

"Early on, brainstorming, we wanted to give kids the opportunities to remix the Powerpuff Girls in their own ways," Jill King, Senior VP of Marketing for Cartoon Network told USA Today. "The team worked around the clock to create tons of different options and be super inclusive."

Aside from having a male Powerpuff, the inclusive part King mentioned also comes with changing the skin tone of your character and even having beards to match your look. If you also look carefully, you can even give your character a Finn (from "Adventure Time") hat.

I've also loved customizable character games when I was growing up. I'm so happy this website came into my life and made me feel like a kid again, especially using one of my favorite shows of all time when I was growing up.

Instantly, this simple customizable game has turn into a worldwide phenomenon. I've seen many friends of mine post their Powerpuff-styled selves on social media. This game has proven itself to be a reminder of how amazing the original show was and how much of a cultural icon the show still is. Now, both young, old, male, and female fans of the show can live out their dream of becoming a Powerpuff.

"The Powerpuff Girls" reboot premieres on Cartoon Network April 4th at 6PM.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
