We all love animals! And there's nothing better than a cute, cuddly, or interesting animal that also embodies a lot of unique traits and behaviors. Here is a power ranking of the top 10 cutest, and coolest, animals of all time.

10. The Turtle

The turtle is a cute sea reptile that is often used for animation purposes, such as in "Finding Nemo." But what really makes these little guys pretty adorable is their huge "googly" eyes and mini arms. They often use their shells to hide from predators and have special glands that remove the salt from the water they drink. Pretty cool if you ask me!

9. The Chipmunk

These tiny balls of fur are most commonly known for their extremely chubby cheeks, which make them the perfect candidate as one of the cutest animals. These chubs are formed by the action of storing food and nuts, one of the resourceful habits of the chipmunk.

8. The Seahorse

Being one of the coolest creatures of the deep, the seahorse is also one of the cutest. Its curled tail and long snout make this tiny creature a true beauty. They are seen in all types of colors and shapes. And fun fact: the males carry the babies! Quite a unique animal I must say...

7. The Penguin

The cutest thing about the penguin is its little waddle, which often leads to an adorable wipeout on the slick ice. These fuzzy guys really are precious, and they are expert divers!

6. The Polar Bear

Like the penguin, the polar bear also owns an adorable thick coat of fur to endure cold temperatures. And this fur blanket isn't the only thing that keeps them warm. Polar bears are especially cute due to their love for cuddling!

5. The Panda

The panda is another bear that loves to cuddle and spend its days looking cute. Its dark circles around the eyes make for an adorable "I haven't had my coffee yet" look. For eating mostly plants, these guys are pretty chubby, which makes them even cuter.

4. The Giraffe

Baby giraffes really are to die for. Due to their long, skinny legs, learning to walk serves as a difficult task to most babies, and they often stumble and fall countlessly before taking their first steps. So cute!

3. The Dolphin

We've all seen "Free Willy" and have fallen in love with these precious water mammals. They are both cute and friendly. The best part about them is that they love us and we are able to interact with them close up to better admire their cuteness.

2. The Cat

Although many people are allergic, it's hard to stay away from these precious little fuzzies. They are so cuddly and peaceful (usually), and they are perfect companions for crazy cat ladies!

1. The Dog

There is no doubt that the cutest and nicest companions are dogs. Their loyalty and cuddles make life so much sweeter. Every breed of dog is cute in its own way, but Corgis are the best. Just saying. Look at those legs!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
