Power to THE Couple of 2016
ET! Online

Any one who knows anything about pop culture knows that last Sunday's VMA's will go down in history, particularly for one reason and one reason only: Drake confessed his love to Rihanna for all the world to see, FINALLY. I can personally say that I predicted this romance to have been blooming since before Aubrey and Robyn's collaboration in "Take Care" back in 2011 because of a particular saucy lyric that I will leave ambiguous because it seems too obvious now. But now that he has made it clear that their relationship is official, I can say that they are officially my favorite power couple as of Sunday.

My admiration for the couple stems from the lack of relationship experience I have, and the fact that, up to this point in time, they seem to emulate a happy, stable relationship. Their chemistry is off the charts despite the two having had previously claimed excessively that they were just friends for the past (almost) decade they have known each other. Who doesn't remember the two on Rihanna's music video for "Work"?

Drake waited over half a decade to finally be with the girl of his dreams. Now that's patience. And it's proving to be sublimely worth it for both the two new lovebirds and us fans who have been waiting for the moment they officially become a couple.

Throughout both of their careers, Drake and Rihanna have shown to have mutual respect for each other's work. In Drake's VMA speech to his beau, he mentioned how he absolutely loved Rihanna's work, even in her early stages when she was releasing songs like "Pon de Replay" and others from "Music in the Sun". In the years to follow, our ears have been blessed with the collaborations of Rihanna and Drake on songs from "What's My Name?" to "Work". If you didn't love being around the people you work with, why even bother to choose to collaborate with them in the first place?

And last, but definitely not least, both Rihanna and Drake are just two awesome people. I follow Rihanna on SnapChat (badgal) and she is one of the finest people on social media. Even though she's been given so much -ish on tabloids doing, wearing and saying things that are considered too inappropriate, she continues to not give a care. She still does HER. Same with Drake. Throughout his music career, he has been given -ish for his music, yet he still keeps doing HIM. This is so important in any relationship: to realize your worth on your own. After all, when things come crumbling down because of your significant other, who is the only person who can help you get back up again? You.

All in all, I love Rihanna and Drake together. I felt it from the moment I heard that lyric in "Take Care", wondering if she would ever let him know if she was ready. Obviously, she's finally ready to take things to the next step with him, and honestly, she deserves a good man. I mean, look at the way that he kisses her! They are goals in and of themselves and, together, they are couple goals.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
