In my opinion, the new Ted Bundy movie with Zac Efron was wonderful. I enjoyed learning the back story of Bundy and the trials that awaited him after he got caught. Watching serial killer movies is so fascinating and having movies about these 5 murderers is crucial
H.H Holmes
H. H. Holmes was a serial killer in the late 1800s, which does not make him any less scary. He constructed a "murder castle", if you will, to lure victims into. It was advertised as a hotel, which became popular during the 1893 Chicago World Fair. This was an easy way for Holmes to lure women to be guest of his hotel but unfortunately, that would be the last place they stay. The first floor of the castle had multiple stores located in them. The two upper levels had Holmes office and over 100 used to lodge. Some of these rooms were sound proof and had gas lines to asphyxiate his guests as he wished. There were several trap doors throughout the hotel. The basement was used as a lab for Holmes to experiment on his victims. This murder hotel is the thing of nightmares and makes me rethink staying at any hotel ever again. We NEED a movie on this!
John Wayne Gacy
Let's be honest, clowns are freaky. Do you know what is scarier? A guy dressing up as a clown to kill young boys and men. John Wayne Gacy was truly messed up. In 1964, Gacy was convicted for molesting two young boys. This should have been the first warning sing. After being incarcerated for 18 months, he was set free and moved to Chicago for a new start. There he started a construction company, remarried and attended church. He would throw block parties and dress up as a clown for entertainment. This is where he got the name "Killer Clown". After his second marriage ended, Gacy took his freedom for granted when he started killing young men. Over the period of a few years, Gacy killed 33 people, 29 of which were found under his house.
Pedro Lopez

So, Pedro Lopez is not well known in America since he was a killer in Columbia but the crimes he committed were horrifying. He killed in his home country of Columbia, as well as the neighboring countries of Peru and Ecuador. He was arrested when trying to lure a vendor's daughter at the market. When imprisoned, he refused to cooperate. A detective went undercover in prison to befriend Lopez and get a confession and details about where the bodies are buried. They ultimately dug up 57 bodies of young girls but he claims to be responsible for more than 200 deaths.
They charged him with 110 murders overall. Due to the laws in Ecuador, he only served a maximum sentence of 16 years. After release, he was deported back to Columbia where they tried to convict him for 2-decade-old murder but he was ultimately declared insane and put in a mental facility. He was released in 1998 on a $50 bail and disappeared after possibly being connected to a murder in 2002. His whereabouts are unknown to this day. I do not know about you, but this is what horror movies are made of.
Jeffrey Dahmer
There are already plenty of movies about Jeffrey Dahmer and his murder spree, but I would love to see a movie like "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" that goes over the trials, as well as any relationships he may have had. This would be wonderful to see rather than the graphic nature of his killings. In case you are unaware of his crimes, I will summarize them. He would lure young men and kill them. He would engage in sexual acts with his victim's corpses before dismembering them. He would often keep their skulls or genitalia as memorabilia. He was convicted for 15 murders and was ultimately killed in prison.
Richard Ramirez
Richard Ramirez, or better known as "The Night Stalker", is high up on the list of well known serial killers. In just one year, he tortured and raped over 25 victims; killing more than a dozen people. Most of the deaths were in Los Angeles. Survivors of his terror were beaten, sexually assaulted, and had satanic symbols placed throughout the crime scene. He was charged with 13 murders, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults, and 14 burglaries. He was sentenced to die in the California gas chamber, but after 23 years on death row, he passed away from B-cell lymphoma. He killed so many people in such a short period that it is terrifying and would make a great movie.
These 5 murderers created terror throughout the world and created so many nightmares for many. It would be so interesting to see a movie about not only the murders but about the rest of their lives. Zac Efron was the perfect Ted Bundy, can you think of anyone who would play these serial killers well?
