We can learn a lot about life from potatoes. Potatoes can teach us important lessons about acceptance and body positivity. They're beautiful no matter what shape or size they take on. Potatoes are also proof that we can be anything we want to be. They've been keeping people alive for hundreds of years and can even be grown on Mars (that's real science and definitely not from a movie).

Potatoes can be made into long and skinny french fries that are salty and crispy.

Or they can be french fries that are chubby and short with lots of curves.

French fries can also be Canadian and slathered with cheese curds and gravy.

Waffle fries are french fries that sound like they're for breakfast but they're not (or are they?)

Hash browns also come in different shapes and sizes.

Potatoes bring families together every night with their creamy goodness.

Potatoes are naturally beautiful with just a little butter and salt.

Or potatoes can be just as beautiful with loaded with lots of yummy toppings.

Potatoes can even be fancy with caviar and creme fraiche.

No matter what color they are or whatever imperfections they have, all potatoes are beautiful.

There is really no wrong way to be a potato.

And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
