All of us know the feeling when it's almost thanksgiving break, and we
get a few days off to just spend with family and relax for the holiday.
We also all know the feeling when Thanksgiving is over, and we have to
go back to work, or to school. Here are some thoughts I know we are all
bound to be thinking right now:
Only 4 weeks until Christmas! Yay Christmas!
As soon as Thanksgiving is over, I am ready to start decorating for
Christmas. I start listening to the Christmas music playlists on
Spotify, I start bugging my mom to go get our Christmas tree. I am in
full Christmas mood.
Who has leftover Thanksgiving dinner I can eat?
Just because I'm in full Christmas mood after Thanksgiving does not mean
I'm over the food. Thanksgiving food is by far one of the best food
categories. Give me all of the stuffing, all of the mashed potatoes, all
of the desserts.
Wait, but does my family really have to leave?
Thanksgiving break being over means that my entire family has to leave
and go back home. My brother goes back to Boston, my sister and her
fiancé go back to Connecticut, my cousins go back to Chicago, and
Buffalo, and all over the country, and I'm left being depressed until
they all come back.
Wow the semester is almost over-I can't wait!
When I go back to school after thanksgiving break and realize I only
have two weeks left of classes, I just start to count down the days
until Christmas break is here (because it's really not that far away
when you take the time to count).
Wow the semester is almost over-I have so much to do before the semester is over.
After the excitement for Christmas break sets in, the panic of how many
papers I have to write, how many projects I have to work on, and how
many tests I have to take sets in real quick. Yes, I may only have two
weeks left, but those two weeks are about to be the most stressful two
weeks ever.
On a serious note, I am so sad that Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays because of the family, and of course the food) is over, but I'm excited for the Christmas season to begin!
