Listen, I've been obsessed with Post Malone ever since I heard his song White Iverson played at a Grapevine High School pep rally my sophomore year. Post Malone has always been a huge deal in my high school, because that's where he went to school. Ihave to admit, it has been kind of tiring hearing "Post Malone went to my high school" at least once a week, but I've dealt with it because he is such a phenomenal artist. He really is the definition of a "legend" in my book, just because he became famous overnight. So when I heard about his upcoming concert at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, I had to get tickets.
Post Malone is extremely popular in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, so I was unable to get tickets until my friend sold me one of his extra lawn tickets on the morning of the concert. I could not explain how excited I was to be able to see him perform some of my all-time favorite songs. When I arrived at the concert a couple rappers were opening for him so I wasn't really paying attention because I had never heard of them. Then 21 Savage came on stage, and that's when everyone including me started getting very hyped up. But once 21 Savage was over, my excitement truly started to kick in.
Around 30 minutes later Post Malone came on stage and opened with his song "Too Young", which has me screaming so loud that my throat was burning. Then he followed with the songs "Better Now," "Takin' Shots," "No Option," and many more. When I say he is a great performer, I don't think I'm giving him enough justice. He really knew how to please the crowds. He can go from getting everyone from being all excited and then into their feels in a matter of minutes.
Although he only was onstage for about 45 minutes, he made it feel like a lifetime. Post Malone is probably the best performer I have seen in concert because he knows exactly what a crowd wants. I would definitely pay to go to another one of Post Malone's concerts, just to experience another night like June 14th, 2018 again. Now when I listen to his music on Spotify, I relive those specific moments of the concert. I will seriously never regret spending $80 to see such an amazing artist stand on stage and perform his heart out.
