To put it bluntly, post-grad life sucks. Or at least, that's how it feels at first. It's a transitioning time for most early twenty-somethings who need to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their lives. It's a roller coaster of emotions, and I thought the cast of "Friends" explains it perfectly.

1. At first you think, "Well, this isn't so bad."

It takes a while to hit you at first, and you can go on blissfully distracted of your impending future.

2. But then it hits you.

Eventually, you have to accept it and realize. This is real life; you graduated.

3. You can't help but think, "WHY is this happening?"

https://giphy.com/

WHY didn't I take an extra semester? WHY did this past year go by so fast?

4. The pressure of finding out what you want to do for the rest of your life is on.

Now it's time to really think, because you have the rest of your life ahead of you.

5. You start to think maybe I should have thought about what I’m going to do after graduation a little bit sooner.

Some people seem to have absolutely everything together already, and you start kicking yourself for not.

6. Then you realize you're still single, and it's harder to meet people after graduation.

You meet new people every day or at least every weekend in college. It's not as often in the real world.

7. Sometimes you're just going to have to settle.

Sometimes all you want is a free meal.

8. Because odds are, money is going to be tight before landing that full time job.

Goodbye are the days of serving food and retail. It's time for a real job, except they are a lot harder to get than you thought.

9. Then you realize that it's okay that things won’t always go the way you plan.

So, post-grad life is not going to be perfect, and things don't always work out exactly how you had planned, and that's okay. It's a part of growing up.

Post-grad life isn't so bad when you have your friends by your side.

And just because you graduated, it doesn't mean you won't have the love and support of the forever friends you made in college.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
